1998 Olympic Winter Games ~ Nagano, Japan ~ Opening Ceremony (with CBC Sports commentators Peter Mansbridge and Brian Williams)

ABOUT

Michele Walker has managed various and numerous projects at many Olympic Games, World Championships, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, Canada Games, Pan-American Games, and even the Invictus and the Special Olympics World Winter Games, plus many more.

Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education with a specialization in Athletic Training  from the University of Western Ontario (London, Canada), Michele headed for graduate school at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces.

Upon graduating with her Master’s degree, Michele returned to her hometown of North Bay, Ontario and soon found herself in a full-time physical education teaching position at her old high school.  While she appreciated that there was nothing like the feeling of imparting knowledge to students, Michele felt that it just wasn’t her best contribution to sport. So the pursuit of excellence started.

Doors started to open when Michele was running the Female Athletes Motivating Excellence (FAME) speaker's bureau in Ontario in 1989. Surrounded by high performance, world class athletes on a daily basis, opportunities that could have never been imagined began to unfold. Under Walker Sports International, which was founded in 1991, Michele has worked on most of the world's largest sporting events.

Currently based in Aurora, Ontario, Canada just outside Toronto, Michele is owned by her boxer Keino. She has travelled extensively around the world for her work and has lived in more US states than Canadian provinces.

“Michele is someone on whom one can rely to deliver."
